The University of Tennessee - Knoxville is seeking an Administrative Associate 2 to provide administrative support for the Neuroscience Institute. This role involves coordinating seminars, managing billing, and assisting with various office duties.

Responsibilities
Coordinates the NI Seminar Series that is part of the Neuroscience Graduate Track curriculum, which provides external and internal speakers presenting the latest research in neuroscience to graduate students, postdocs, faculty, staff, and guests. The position handles all the scheduling, travel, honorarium, itineraries, catering, and troubleshooting
Helps organize NI’s Symposia that are open to the public. The position handles all the scheduling, travel, honorarium, itineraries, catering, and troubleshooting
Assists in auditing the program accounts, posting transactions to the departmental ledger, and generating reports via DASH/Oracle
Maintains the monthly billing for the NI’s Imaging Center in iLab and provides reports on Imaging Center income and expenses
Drafts letters, forms, and memos for the director and program coordinator as well as purchasing, answering phones, handling queries, and general office duties
Maintains NI membership information
Assists the Technical Manager in the Imaging Center by opening and closing the doors, turning the equipment on/off, and helping as needed
Maintains confidentiality on all personal and financial documents pertaining to NI employees as well as guest speakers
Provides customer service to members, staff, students, guests, and the public
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
Two (2) years of administrative experience
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to proof data for accuracy
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to prioritize work and maintain high level confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
