Senior Program Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

Serve as a member of the Standard Missile Development Program team, ensuring successful program performance, deliver conforming products/services through effective collaboration and compliance to processes and procedures
Oversee integration and implementation of cross-functional teams to ensure alignment to quality and customer requirements per the program quality plan
Serve as a program quality liaison across customer organizations (Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and United States Government (USG)), as well as relevant factories and engineering labs as first responder for quality issues and concerns related to development products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner with program leadership teams to define and implement quality improvement strategies
Support supplier quality and supplier engineering efforts to help ensure compliance with the supplier quality plan
Review and approve changes to the technical data package, assign actions when necessary and complete actions in a timely manner when assigned. This includes but is not limited to: Peer reviews, Engineering Review/Change Control Board (ERB/CCB) and/or Design reviews
Ensure all development hardware (Engineering, Proof of Design and Proof of Manufacturing) are appropriately documented in the quality history records and align to quality and customer requirements per the program quality plan

Required

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five (5) years of prior experience
Working experience in supporting design and/or manufacturing process
Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
Working experience with SAP/PRISM or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) resources
Working experience with technical data package review (TDP) and document repository
Working experience leading teams in analysis of failures, root cause, corrective and preventative action
Experience in a relevant technical discipline with understanding of engineering principles and design analysis techniques
Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

ASQ CQE Certification
Experience in APQP methods (including FMEA, Control Plan, FAI/AS9102, SPC) with demonstrated ability to mentor cross-functional team
Experience in interpreting and ensuring compliance with TDP requirements and QMS requirements
Experience with Configuration Control System such as Common Product Data Management (cPDM) and/or Common As-Built System (CABS)
Experience Reviewing Statement of Work (SOW), Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), Knowledge of Purchase Order Quality Requirements (Q-Notes, STAMP)
Experience presenting, reviewing and/or approving changes through a formal Change Control Board (CCB)
Experience translating system requirements to ensure full compliance is flowed down through product, assembly and test documentation as well meeting contractual requirements
Experience working in a dynamic environment that requires prioritization and flexibility to support competing requirements
Experience achieving results and improvement
Experience making decisions with limited information
