Responsibilities

Creating and editing drawings (CAD / BIM)
Perform other duties supporting certified interior designers, as assigned
Perform other duties supporting senior architecture staff, as assigned
Assist with Comprehensive Interior Design submittal including Furniture, Fixtures, & Equipment and Structural Interior Design
Complying with data protection principles while handling personal, protected and / or Covered Defense Information on behalf of Day & Zimmermann. Data Handlers should be trained to follow documented policies, standard operating procedures and secure practices associated with protecting trusted employee and customer data

Required

Currently enrolled in an Interior Design program from an CIDA accredited school or Bachelors Architecture from an NAAB accredited school
Due to the nature of the work and applicable federal contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is required for this position
Great attitude and team player
Successful completion of background and drug screening process
Developing proficiency with drawing production software regularly used in department (AutoCAD, Revit, Microstation, AECOsim)
Learning software, processes, and document preparation requirements
Developing knowledge of regularly used standards within department
Developing understanding of design and construction process
Expected to be a proactive learner, responsible to seek out support when needed, identify expectations, check own work output against quality expectations, and pursue opportunities to grow technical capabilities
Ability to take direction and guidance from more senior staff within department
