Responsibilities

Assist in the design, development, and implementation of mission systems software, including models and simulations related to sensors and weapons systems
Collaborate with senior engineers to develop use cases and detailed software requirements, ensuring alignment with mission objectives
Develop and execute test cases and unit tests concurrently with software development, documenting results meticulously
Participate in peer reviews to maintain high-quality standards and contribute to software architecture discussions
Support the entire software lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment, within an agile team environment
Work on multi-disciplinary teams responsible for requirements analysis, system design, and integration of complex mission systems
Engage in continuous learning to deepen expertise in tactical and mission systems, fostering innovation and process improvement
Contribute to a DevSecOps culture that emphasizes secure, reliable, and efficient software delivery

Required

A minimum of one year of experience in software development
Familiarity with the software development life cycle
Experience with configuration management
Experience with agile practices
Background in programming with C or C++
Experience working within CI/CD environments utilizing tools like Jenkins or GitLab
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Ability to adapt to new technologies

Preferred

A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or related fields from an accredited institution
Candidates with an active U.S. Security Clearance
Experience in aircraft mission systems
Experience in sensor integration
Experience in modeling and simulation
Familiarity with agile development methodologies
