Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous manner
Complete patient registration and check-in/check-out processes accurately
Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation
Schedule, confirm, and update appointments using medical office software and EHR systems
Collect co-pays and outstanding balances in accordance with practice policies
Answer and route phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general information
Maintain organized, accurate records and ensure confidentiality of patient information
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support smooth daily operations
Qualification
Required
HS Diploma or GED required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused approach
Proficiency in medical office software, scheduling systems, and electronic health records (EHR)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Current CPR or BLS
Preferred
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
Demonstrated longevity in past roles; consistent work history is highly valued
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus
CNA, MA or other certifications preferred
