Responsibilities
Help create and maintain pipelines that help automate the parts of software development and delivery related to build, test, deployment facilitating one or more agile development teams
Establishes Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines for new applications to support an agile delivery environment
Establishes Cloudbees Jenkins pipelines that meet Enterprise Quality Standards
Supports the organization in maturing the software development and delivery into a fully automated and service oriented
Encodes, tests, debugs, and documents associated scripts/programs
Resolves escalated technical matters to meet customer service level agreements
Performs root cause analysis/fixes or corrective action of defects for more complex issues
Actively monitors the stacks, ensuring automated builds and deployments are functioning successfully
Follows documented Software Development Life-Cycle standards
Participates or leads special projects and training, as required
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree/equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Eight (8) years of relevant experience, including at least four years of experience in any programming languages (preferably Java)
Must have at least three years of experience using DevOps tools like Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, Python, YAML, Shell Scripting, etc
Good understanding of Linux OS configuration, Networking and Firewall concepts
Experience in configure/maintain testing environments, software release management and support activities
Experience working in Agile team-oriented environment
Experience in creating, deploying and running Docker containers
Good understanding in Terraform/Ansible/Chef, Kubernetes, PCF etc
Good understanding of cloud networking architecture, cloud operations, security, automation and orchestration
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Good understanding of and willingness to learn and adopt professional and industry standards
Must be customer service driven and be a good team player
Preferred
Knowledge in Serverless technologies (Lambda, Google Functions, Azure Functions)
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, reliable application releases
Architect and manage cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices
Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and resilience of production systems
Collaborate with software engineers to optimize application deployment, observability, and runtime performance
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively detect and resolve issues
Lead incident response efforts, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions
Enforce security best practices across infrastructure, pipelines, and runtime environments (DevSecOps)
Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and architectural patterns to improve operational efficiency
Establish and document operational standards, runbooks, and best practices
Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior DevOps and platform engineers
Stay current with emerging DevOps tools, cloud services, and industry trends
