Manufacturing Engineering Technician

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will perform a variety of technical duties, including experimental procedures, data collection and analysis, and support for design engineering to assess manufacturability of new production parts.

Responsibilities
Understands equipment used in key manufacturing process(es) and interprets data from process(es) to solve problems
Work with design engineers to review technical drawings for manufacturability and provide guidance as needed
Create methods of manufacturing and jobs to manufacture parts based on knowledge of equipment in key manufacturing processes
Works with teams focused on product innovation, cost reduction projects, etc
Proactively guides front-line production workforce and technical teams to comply with safety, health, equipment standard operating procedures, and environmental regulations
Qualification
Required
Associate Degree in technical field or strong Math/Science background and experiences preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude
Reads blueprints and/or drawings
3+ years' experience in machine shop as a programmer or engineering technician
Other technician and/or operator roles that lead to a better understanding of the equipment and processes
Preferred
5-7 years' experience in machine shop as programmer or engineering technician
Part design work – drawings and models
B.S. in technical field
Project Management skills
Lean Fundamentals
Six Sigma Yellow Belt
