Responsibilities

Operates packaging equipment working on various packaging lines in multiple warehouses
Assists with loading product in dry vans as needed/requested
Performs daily checks/inspections & preventative maintenance of equipment
Assists with end of month inventory activities
Ensures all required production and packaging documentation is accurate and complete
Knowledge of all LOTO locations of packaging process, to assist maintenance when PM or repairs are needed in the process
Troubleshoots minor malfunctions with equipment following all safety protocol
Assists with unloading and delivery of raw materials to Production Plants - North Plant, South Plant, and AjiPro as needed/requested
Complete daily quality checks on equipment, metal detection, scale verification, date code applications, scanner operations, composite sample checks; completing daily documentation accurately and legibly
Operation of a forklift without causing damage to final product, equipment, or property
Responsible for daily re-pack and re-process, delivery of end of day paperwork to WH office
Sweep WH floor and operate Tennant T12 floor scrubber if needed
Take recyclables (scrap pallets, cardboard, plastics, etc.) outside to correct recycle location or container. Clean up along the packaging line making sure dust levels are minimized
Collaborate with other departments within the company to accomplish tasks/goals as needed
Suggest/implement process improvement, cost down, or best practice ideas
Continually strive for increasing processing efficiencies
Complete 5S activities to keep the work area clean and organized
Identify process equipment issues/leaks and submit work orders in Emaint

Qualification

Required

High School diploma or equivalent
Forklift certification
Must be self-motivated and show a willingness to learn
Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, EMaint., SAP, Velocity, etc.)
Ability to multi-task
Ability to professionally interact and communicate with others
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Mechanical aptitude and/or a willingness to learn how to troubleshoot mechanical issues
Use of required personal protective equipment when in the manufacturing environment
Working around large manufacturing machines and equipment
Other general equipment used at an industrial site (i.e. hoist, pallet jack, freight elevator, etc.)
Sitting, standing, walking, repetitive use of hands/arms/legs, and eye/hand coordination for 6+ hours a day
Occasional bending, reaching overhead, crouching, climbing ladders, balancing, pushing or pulling
Occasional lifting of 75 lbs. or less, Frequent lifting of 50 lbs. or less
Ability to operate general manufacturing powered equipment and tools
Ability to wear a respirator according to the Company respiratory program
Utilize safe work habits and follow all policies and procedures
Make sound decisions while not compromising safety, environmental or quality standards
Turn in any hazards as they are identified to get them corrected as soon as possible
Attend regularly scheduled training sessions to stay current on all compliance initiatives
