LEGAL INTERN - PROSECUTING ATTORNEY'S OFFICE

St. Charles County Government is seeking two summer legal interns for the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. The internship aims to provide students with hands-on experience in handling court hearings and drafting legal documents under the supervision of licensed attorneys.

Responsibilities

Perform legal research, draft legal documents, and memoranda under the supervision of licensed attorneys
Assist in dockets and prepare legal memorandums
Perform various clerical functions

Required

Seeking a law student who possesses a bachelor's degree and has completed at least three semesters of law school by the start of the internship
Eligibility for Rule 13 practice is required

Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Employment is contingent on successfully passing a full criminal background check

Preferred

Able to work 28-32 hours per week
Available for 9 to 10 weeks during summer
Internship runs from mid-May to early August 2025
