Montessori Co-Director
Yellow Brick Road Early Childhood Development Center is seeking a Montessori Co-Director to ensure the delivery of a high-quality Montessori program and compliance with state licensing. The role involves leadership in staff development, family engagement, program oversight, operations management, and financial administration.

Responsibilities
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff
Provide coaching, feedback, and performance reviews
Lead staff meetings, professional development, and team-building initiatives
Foster a positive, respectful, and professional workplace culture
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents
Communicate regularly through meetings, newsletters, and school events
Conduct tours and support enrollment efforts
Partner with the community to promote the school’s mission and programs
Monitor classroom environments to ensure Montessori philosophy and licensing standards are upheld
Support teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate practices
Evaluate classroom curriculum and learning outcomes
Ensure smooth transitions for children and families
Oversee daily operations to ensure health, safety, and licensing compliance
Maintain accurate records, reporting, and documentation as required
Implement and monitor emergency preparedness plans
Ensure facilities, equipment, and materials are safe, organized, and well-maintained
Manage budgets, expenses, payroll approvals, and supply ordering
Partner with regional leadership on financial and staffing decisions
Monitor enrollment and maintain accurate waitlists
Support sustainable business practices for long-term school success
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years of leadership and/or program administrator experience in a licensed childcare or educational setting
Strong knowledge of child development and ability to guide teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate practices
Proven skills in staff supervision, conflict resolution, and parent communication
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire)
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, which may include; Standing or sitting for extended periods of time. Lifting and carrying young children and classroom materials – up to 65 lbs. Bending, stooping, and kneeling to interact with children at their level
Ability to respond quickly to emergencies or situations requiring physical intervention
Familiarity with Montessori philosophy strongly preferred; openness to learn required
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business Administration, or related field preferred, not required
