Marketing - Data Strategy Manager
Prairie Meadows is seeking a Marketing - Data Strategy Manager to oversee analytical P & L reports and database marketing initiatives. The role involves maintaining relationships with IT, managing a data team, and ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities
Responsible for all analytical P & L reports including acquisitional reports, results, and projections. Proactively oversees the assigned Database budgets, making sure we have the data to make informed choices to stay on budget
Maintains a close relationship with IT to keep are systems running efficiently so we can provide Jackpot guest service. This will also help during upgrades, tier resets, and making sure all data initiatives are accomplished in a timely manner
Conducts checks on all campaigns, CMS uploads, reward rules, and any loading relating to the data team to ensure accuracy
Responds to issues customers are having with campaign offers and works towards solving any possible backend data problems
Tracks performance metrics of the data team to identify any opportunities for growth and process changes
Delegates but oversees data team that interfaces with various print shops/mail-houses to ensure accurate and timely production, execution and deployment of direct marketing campaigns and programs. Responsible for the proofing, editing, and approving of all marketing material and direct mail sent from the casino to the guest. Ultimate accountability as approver for each project
Responsible for the development and implementation of database marketing initiatives that serv to attract new customers as well as maintain, retain, and grow existing customers
Executes all aspects of data related activities and direct mail, and administers the production of direct mail and player lists in accordance with established timelines. Provides all lists for mail and direct marketing campaigns, including core, standard and supplemental direct mail, and all email marketing efforts as well
Oversees all database marketing efforts to ensure accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of offers, customer database and lists, and tracked play (NCOA changes, data security, data cleansing, etc.)
Evaluates the effectiveness of direct marketing campaigns and makes recommendations. Collects data on consumers, competitors, marketplace and consolidates information into actionable items, reports and presentations. Catalogue’s findings in databases, compiles and analyzes statistical data using modern and traditional methods of collection and review
Administers the customer loyalty program and tier rankings, ensures procedures and protocols are followed, and that customers are engaged and communicated to efficiently
Designs and implements marketing databases using software and tools provided by this company
Must be thoughtful about the consumer; understand the value of a premium consumer experience and the opportunities that direct mail, email, online, and social channels, across all devices, affords as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) channel
Learns aspects of and maintain a general understanding of database systems, query tools and functions. Including but not limited to Structured Query Language (SQL) statements, data warehouses, relational databases, and multi-dimensional databases in analyzing various data sources
Produces timely analysis on all marketing programming and marketing campaigns that yield actionable results and thorough database segmentation. Accurately tracks performance of each campaign, performing pro and post forma forecasting and analysis
Interviews, hires, trains and manages data team
Oversees supervision of marketing CRM database, by continuous development, maintenance, and administration of the database, including ensuring data quality and integrity of the system
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred or a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field with a proven track record of achievement and progressive job experience (education may be substituted with experience)
Prior casino experience given priority consideration
Must possess leadership skills as well as excellent analytical skills with proven market research analysis experience
Knowledge of database management and marketing principles
Ability to interpret large amounts of data and the ability to multi-task
Knowledge of basic accounting principles or finance
Must be detail oriented
Needs strong math/statistical skills
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Competent in presenting facts and ideas in an organized and detailed manner
Self-starter and must have strong follow up skills
Strong internal/external customer service skills
Able to be flexible and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Capable of working under the pressure of deadlines
Strong grammar and editing skills
Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and internet familiarity a must
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Willingness and ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
Preferred
Working experience in Cognos, Micros, Crystal, OASIS, Constant Contact, MapInfo, Microsoft Access, Outlook and/or Publisher preferred
