Responsibilities
Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern framework with Angular
Implement Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards
Integrate UI components with backend APIs
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to deliver human-centered designs
Design and develop RESTful and event-driven services using Java spring boot and Nodejs
Build and maintain microservices and business logic layers
Integrate applications with API Gateway platforms (MuleSoft; AWS API gateway; Kong or similar)
Ensure secure authentication and authorization mechanisms
Consume and test APIs for healthcare data exchange
Validate data transformations and ensure data integrity
Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring
Strong experience in API modernization and migration from MuleSoft
Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, microservices design patterns, and event-driven architectures
Proficiency in full stack development, with strong backend focus (Java / Python / Node.js preferred) and working knowledge of frontend integration patterns
Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
Familiarity with AI frameworks and tools such as AWS Bedrock, LangChain, Generative AI platforms, and AI-assisted development tools
Experience using GitHub Copilot and AI-driven code generation, refactoring, and merge tools
Ability to design and integrate AI-enabled workflows to support development, testing, and migration acceleration
Deploy applications in cloud environments like AWS
Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to ensure secure deployments
Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, UI/UX designers, and QA teams
Participate in Agile ceremonies including PI planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives
Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
Ensure compliance with CMS, HIPAA, FISMA, NIST, and Section 508 standards
Participate in code reviews and security scans
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in full stack application development
Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or Python
Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
Proven experience in agile development methodologies Scrum and Kanban and experience with Jira to manage the agile sprints and backlog
Must be a US Citizen OR Green card holder and have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years
Preferred
Experience supporting federal or healthcare IT programs
Familiarity with MuleSoft API Gateway
Experience with Kafka or event-driven architecture
Knowledge of FHIR or HL7 healthcare standards
