Quality Engineer Manager

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems in compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards
Lead PPAP submissions and manage APQP activities throughout product lifecycles
Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions using 8D methodology
Monitor, analyze, and report quality KPIs including scrap rates, warranty claims, and customer complaints
Support and participate in internal, external, OEM, and Tier 1 customer audits
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure process capability and product reliability
Apply statistical tools such as SPC, MSA, and DOE to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes
Train production and quality personnel on quality standards, procedures, and customer-specific requirements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with customer and business objectives
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
Minimum 3+ years of quality engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements (e.g., Ford, GM, Toyota)
Proficiency with quality and statistical software tools such as Minitab and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to commute to the Grand Prairie, TX location
No visa sponsorship required

Preferred

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar quality certification
Prior experience supporting OEM or Tier 1 automotive customers
Leadership or team management experience
