The U.S. Sports Data Intern role involves working with the Operations team to collect and process player tracking data for college and international basketball, ensuring accuracy for client delivery.

Responsibilities
Accurately cutting broadcast video to include relevant game play for AI algorithms to work correctly
Identifying and accurately defining score bug data in broadcast video (ex: teams, game clock, etc.) to power AI algorithms
Collecting samples of player images to help improve AI player tracking identification technology
Syncing basketball play-by-play event and clock data to video frames to power AI enrichment data
Ensuring accuracy in player tracking identification and maintaining high quality standards for the data
Accurately calibrating court/field dimensions to power player tracking algorithms
Check and maintain College Football Rosters
Testing new features and tools for continued development of the product, potentially for other sports
Qualification
Required
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions exactly as they are laid out in an environment where pivots are required frequently
Ability to work independently with assigned tasks, but also ability to question anything unusual that may occur in daily workflow
Understanding data and technology in sports and how it is helping teams across the global gain competitive edges
Patience and flexibility in working with new technology. Curveballs are the norm!
Preferred
Basketball fan, preferably college and/or international basketball fan
Understanding of NBA draft process and prospects
