Material Facilitator

Goodwill Industries of South Florida is seeking a Material Facilitator who will serve as a liaison between the cutting team and the production floor. The primary responsibility of this role is to receive, store, replenish, and distribute cut work to ensure an uninterrupted production workflow.

Responsibilities

Receives and verifies cut-work against a checklist daily from the cutting area
Labels and shrink-wraps the cut-work and transports from the cutting area on the first floor to the Cut-Kit Depot on the 2nd floor continuously throughout the day (due to space restrictions in the cutting area)
Due to space restrictions, organizers cut work in Cut-Kit Depot by style and in FIFO order, various times a day
Maintains Cut-Kit Depot and Kanban areas clean from waste and debris daily
Trouser Line Fulfillment: Replenishes Cut-Work to designated line feed areas continuously throughout the day to ensure replenishment needs are met and supports the production team with open communication. There are 4 different entryway areas per style on the trousers
Other styles of Fulfillment: Stage weekly fulfillment of cut-work in designated kanban areas based on quantities established between the production and logistics team
Responsible for obtaining signatures from Production Supervisors and/or Bundle Handlers as receipt confirmation to report the total daily feed provided to Trouser Line daily and a weekly report for non-trouser lines
Performs weekly cycle counts of cutwork and reports potential shortages to the Logistics Coordinator to confirm the weekly Facility WIP Report and monitor inventory levels
