Responsibilities

Lead Design for Excellence (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, value engineering, cost-down initiatives) across new product introduction, platform development, and lifecycle optimization to design in cost, quality, sustainability, and resilience
Drive early supplier involvement by orchestrating co-design and innovation workshops with strategic suppliers, ensuring industrialization readiness including scalability, quality, lead times, and supply resilience
Build sourcing readiness by translating product concepts into clear supplier requirements, supporting request-for-quotation inputs, and enabling data-driven supplier selection with commodity teams
Own should-cost and bill-of-material cost governance by developing cost models, tracking target costs, and providing fact-based insights to support negotiations and total cost of ownership decisions
Collaborate closely with Research and Development, Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Procurement to influence decisions, accelerate time-to-market, and embed compliance, sustainability, and lifecycle performance early

Required

7+ years of experience in product development engineering, procurement engineering, value engineering, industrialization, or technical sourcing, ideally within consumer electronics, personal care, or electromechanical products
Skills include Design for Excellence methodologies, should-costing and cost driver analysis, supplier engagement, sourcing strategy, and experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning and digital tools
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
Ability to successfully perform the minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation
Strategic, influential communicator who thrives in cross-functional and global environments, comfortable working with Asian supply bases, and willing to travel up to 20% as needed

Preferred

Experience with data, automation, or artificial intelligence-enabled tools
