The Opta Analyst Editorial Intern will write engaging articles and social media content, develop social media strategies, and collaborate with team members to produce high-quality content related to sports analytics.

Responsibilities

Write engaging and informative articles, blog posts, and social media content related to sports and sports analytics
Stay informed on current sports news and trends, generating content that keeps audiences engaged
Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement
Analyze social media performance metrics and make adjustments to the strategy as needed
Edit and format audio and video content for various platforms
Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to produce high-quality content

Qualification

Social media strategyWriting abilityAP StyleMultimedia experienceSportsCommunication skillsTime-management skills

Required

Strong writing ability with particular interest advanced sports analytics
Experience with social content execution and social strategy on mainstream social media platforms, including Twitter and Instagram
Knowledge of AP Style and a newsroom's editorial process
Willing and able to meet multiple deadlines to ensure content is produced in a timely fashion
Experience with multimedia, including video and podcasting (is a plus but not necessary)
Outstanding knowledge of a wide variety of sports
Should be a self-starter with solid communication and time-management skills
