Responsibilities

Designing and executing in vitro assays with small molecules utilizing hepatocytes, sub-cellular fractions, or recombinant enzymes
Reviewing scientific literature and summarizing key findings to inform assay strategy
Analytical LC-MS/MS method development, bioanalysis, and troubleshooting
Performing data analysis and presenting key scientific findings
Maintaining an accurate lab notebook

Required

Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or other life science related field at an accredited University or College throughout the duration of the internship
Previous hands-on laboratory experience
Candidates must be self-motivated, organized, and have excellent problem-solving skills
Skilled in utilization of computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future

Preferred

Understanding and/or experience with enzyme kinetics and mass spectrometry
Experience handling cells and/or sub-cellular fractions

Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year.
