Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI semantic models, measures (DAX), and reports
Build scalable, high-performance data models integrating multiple data sources (ERP, HR, operations, SharePoint, SQL, Fabric, etc.)
Develop and maintain standardized KPIs and metrics used across the organization
Optimize data models and reports for performance, usability, and maintainability
Apply best practices for star schemas, relationships, and measure design
Create executive, operational, and financial dashboards that turn complex data into clear insights
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective BI solutions
Ensure reports are intuitive, well-documented, and aligned to business workflows
Maintain and enhance existing reports as business needs evolve
Support self-service BI through well-governed, easy-to-use datasets
Validate data accuracy and consistency across reports and models
Support row-level security (RLS) and role-based access models
Troubleshoot data issues, refresh failures, and performance bottlenecks
Collaborate with source system owners to improve upstream data quality
Work closely with Operations, Finance, Project Controls, and other teams to translate business questions into analytics solutions
Provide analytical support and ad-hoc analysis to drive decision-making
Help train and support business users in consuming and understanding BI content
Contribute to documentation, standards, and repeatable BI development patterns
Support the evolution of the BI platform (Power BI, Fabric, SQL, Dataflows, etc.)
Contribute to improving development, deployment, and change management processes
Partner with the Director of Business Intelligence to implement BI best practices and standards
Participate in shaping the long-term analytics roadmap and scalability strategy
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience developing in Power BI (data models, DAX, reports, dashboards)
Solid experience with DAX for measures, calculations, and time intelligence
Experience working with SQL-based data sources and/or data warehouses
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, fact/dimension tables, relationships)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Dataflows, Azure SQL, or similar modern data platforms
Experience supporting operational and financial reporting in project-based or asset-intensive environments
Familiarity with performance tuning, incremental refresh, and large semantic models
Experience with BI governance, deployment pipelines, and RLS security models
Background in operations, finance, project controls, or enterprise reporting environments
