Financial Associate

Parkview Health is seeking a Financial Associate responsible for Medicare and Medicaid facility enrollments and support for Medicare cost reports and month-end close. Responsibilities

Responsible for Medicare and Medicaid facility enrollments and support Medicare cost reports and month-end close
Performs a variety of duties related to maintaining records and general ledger accounts
Performs various month-end and year-end functions
Assists with the maintenance of PeopleSoft
Performs special projects as needed in order to identify potential operation and/or financial efficiencies
Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations, performs numerous cash management functions, system balancing steps, capital tracking and reporting, and other fixed asset activity
Analyzes general ledger account activity for accuracy and anomalies
Prepares financial and operating reports from statistical data

Required

5-10 years of progressive financial accounting or analyst experience or an Associate's degree in accounting, finance, business or other quantitative field
Highly motivated in fast-paced environment
Multi-tasker and organized
Experience in accounting, finance, operations analysis, or auditing setting a plus
Healthcare experience and CPA also a plus
Highly motivated, productive, self-starter, detail and results oriented
Thrive and excel in a fast-paced environment
Develop solid accounting skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to work independently, but be willing to be led by others
Able to manage multiple tasks from multiple customers at one time
Develop skills in data (and database) gathering, organizing, and analysis to understand and interpret potential or existing problems
Demonstrate proficiency with software programs including Excel, Word, and General Ledger systems
