Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support AWS-based cloud infrastructure and platform services in a government cloud environment
Lead the integration and migration of legacy applications and platforms to AWS
Build and maintain highly available, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions aligned with operational readiness standards
Implement, manage, and enhance production monitoring and observability using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, and CloudWatch
Apply AIOps practices to automate operations, improve system reliability, and proactively identify and resolve issues
Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise during incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Participate in an on-call rotation and support production environments as needed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce security, risk management, and compliance best practices
Communicate technical concepts, issues, and solutions effectively to both technical and business stakeholders
Qualification
Required
ANACI clearance which requires candidates to be US citizens or Green Card holders for a minimum of one year
7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or technical operations roles, with significant hands-on experience in AWS environments
Demonstrated experience supporting production systems in complex, highly regulated environments
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Advanced expertise integrating legacy platforms and applications with AWS services
Strong experience with AIOps, including automation, monitoring, and operational intelligence solutions
Extensive background in production monitoring and observability using Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, and AWS CloudWatch
Proven problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make sound technical decisions under pressure
Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Professionalism, integrity, and confidence when serving as a technical leader and escalation point
