Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy software for SDA ground operational systems
Implement robust APIs and services; write unit/integration tests and automate validation
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines ; apply GitOps, configuration management, and infrastructure as code
Containerize applications and orchestrate services with Docker/Kubernetes
Collaborate across development, operations, and security to meet performance and compliance goals
Document architecture, interfaces, runbooks, and operational procedures; contribute to readiness reviews
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related STEM field and 5+ years of experience; OR Master's degree plus 3 years
Proficiency in Python and Java; strong grasp of API design, testing, and management
Knowledge of DevOps principles (CI/CD, automation, IaC), cloud platforms (AWS; Azure a plus)
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
Understanding of security best practices (risk/compliance, vulnerability management, encryption/PKI, auditing/monitoring)
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
U.S. citizenship is required
