Responsibilities
Responsible for day to day administration of security related components and systems
Gathers and reports network performance statistics and information for proactive security management
Works on various security infrastructure projects
Performs audits on network and systems related components
Audits computer and terminal physical security standards in accordance with policies, and procedures; coordinating with facilities’ security
Safeguards computer files by performing disaster preparedness activities
Creates, tests and implements network disaster recovery plans
Performs risk assessments and testing of data processing systems
Audits firewalls, data encryption and other security measures
Recommends security enhancements and purchases
Effectively uses IT issue ticket system
Trains staff on network and information security procedures
Is flexible and available for on-call duty after hours in a rotation with other support staff
Provides technical education and support to client support staff on network and information security procedures, taking pride in providing the highest level of customer service
Maintains technical skills in line with current industry standards and certifications. Actively participates in continuing education, seminars/conferences, professional societies/journals and networking with other security professionals to keep current with new developments and technology
Assists with duties such as procurement of equipment and purchasing of tools
Performs other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Associate's in computer science, engineering, telecommunications or related field
0-2 years of experience in IT security or applicable experience
Ability to provide IT education and technical support to staff
Attention to quality and detail
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, telecommunications or related field
Information Technology certifications such as CCNA, MCP, CISSP or HCISPP
