Responsibilities
Script Development: Design, test, and document data acquisition scripts based on complex clinical specifications
Technical Translation: Convert metric requirements and timestamps into Epic-compatible logic
Environment Assessment: Review partner hospital Epic setups, including custom workflows, Clarity/Caboodle builds, and module variations
Validation & Maintenance: Validate scripts for accuracy and stability within Epic environments; update specifications as new hospital sites onboard
Consultative Troubleshooting: Diagnose data issues and provide expert guidance on clinical workflows and integration patterns
Qualification
Required
Epic Expertise: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with Epic clinical modules, data models, or reporting
Data Extraction: Proficiency in Clarity, Caboodle, or Chronicles
Scripting & SQL: Strong SQL capabilities and experience building technical deliverables from data requirements
Epic Build Knowledge: Familiarity with build components such as SmartSets, SmartForms, BPAs, and Orders
Clinical Workflow Knowledge: Deep understanding of EMR data structures and how they map to clinical practice
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (Required)
Preferred
Certifications: Epic certifications in Orders, ClinDoc, Cadence, Prelude, Willow, or Beacon
Integration Background: Experience with ETL patterns, healthcare analytics, or Bridges/Interfaces
Large-Scale Experience: Working with multi-site variations or highly customized Epic builds
Advanced Degree: MBA or related advanced degree (Preferred)
