Mid LevelSharon McMahon Education is seeking freelance Digital Editor/Producers to engage and inform a loyal online audience. The role involves producing and editing digital content across various social media platforms while ensuring clarity and accuracy in reporting on political and government topics.
Responsibilities
Produce and edit digital content on Instagram, TikTok, Substack, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook
Pitch social content daily, covering topics like law, government, and politics that actually make sense to the average person
Research breaking news, legal and political topics, and source original documents when needed
Edit interview videos for socials
Qualification
Required
Produced and edited hundreds of videos
Professional experience in digital media, social video, or political producing and editing
Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
Experience with short-form video (editing, captioning, formatting for mobile), including working knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition)
Deep fluency in how Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Substack function differently
Excellent research and writing skills (you can articulate the story to a wide audience)
