Responsibilities
Design, build, and evolve DevOps pipelines, tooling, and processes from the ground up
Partner with engineering teams to improve CI/CD, infrastructure automation, reliability, and deployment strategies
Support both internal platforms (including loyalty-focused systems) and external client engagements, adapting solutions to different needs and levels of maturity
Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily in Azure and AWS, with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability
Act as a trusted advisor to teams—explaining the “why” behind DevOps decisions and helping others upskill through guidance and knowledge sharing
Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and product stakeholders to align DevOps solutions with business goals
Identify opportunities to improve observability, automation, and operational efficiency across environments
Contribute to documentation, standards, and repeatable patterns that can scale across teams and clients
Qualification
Required
Must be able to work W2 full time role for any employer
7+ years of overall engineering experience
3+ years focused specifically on DevOps
Hands-on experience standing up or significantly evolving DevOps practices in growing or less mature environments
Strong working knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud platforms
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native tooling
Bachelor's degree (4-year degree) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Excellent communication skills—comfortable working directly with clients and internal stakeholders
A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and enablement, not just implementation
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-moving environment
Preferred
Prior consulting experience strongly preferred, ideally within a smaller or boutique consulting agency
