Responsibilities

Aid in the implementation of analytical methods
Be trained on using analytical instruments/software and in the analytical methods
Handle and use human derived reagents and plasma derived manufacturing process intermediates
Prepare reagents, buffers, controls, and samples to execute experiments
Collect and analyze data, generate data summary tables and assist in drafting summary tables and/or report(s)
Prepare a presentation that summarizes their work at the conclusion of their internship

Qualification

Laboratory skillsAnalytical methodsMicrosoft OfficeBiochemistry knowledgePresentation skills

Required

Currently a rising junior or senior or graduate student with a GPA of at 3.0 pursuing a degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Immunology, or similar scientific field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to perform laboratory searches, read laboratory procedures, and document work in a laboratory notebook
Proficiency in laboratory skills including pipetting, use of balance, pH meter, volumetric glassware, making solutions and laboratory safety awareness

Preferred

Familiarity with 96 well plates and plate readers is a plus
