Responsibilities
Content Creation: Draft engaging copy for social media channels and email newsletters; assist in producing graphic, photo, and video assets
Strategy & Planning: Assist in managing the social media content calendar and participate in creative brainstorming sessions
Event Coverage: Capture photo and video content at Governor events for real-time and future social media use
Partner Engagement: Draft sample social media and newsletter copy for external partner toolkits and stakeholder activation
Research & Analytics: Support the team with social media research, influencer engagement efforts, and performance reporting
Qualification
Required
Strong skillset in one or more areas: copywriting, video production, photography, or graphic design
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital engagement strategies
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; due to the nature of the role, some morning, evening, or weekend work may be required
A willingness to work across teams to translate policy priorities into resonant digital content
Must either be a New York State resident OR be enrolled in a college or university located in New York State
A cover letter and writing sample are required in order to be considered for this position
Ability to work 20-30 hours per week depending on availability
