Process Engineer

They are seeking a Process Engineer who will be responsible for developing manufacturing processes, tooling alternatives, and improving production throughput in a centralized manufacturing engineering environment.

Responsibilities
SORs and project management for tools, stations or specific technologies
Work as a part of a larger effort or project
Manufacturing process definition
Tooling design review
Part quality improvement
Production throughput improvement
Efficient material flow
Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts
Providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources
Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology
Develop/maintain process control
Qualification
Required
5 years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Ability to work / rotate through all 3 shifts (1st, 2nd & 3rd)
Ability to work over-time, weekends, holidays, etc. as needed
Knowledge and ability in process and machining engineering disciplines
Knowledge of foundry processes and ability to apply these concepts within a manufacturing environment
Demonstrates a strong analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues
Demonstrated ability to manage smaller projects and assignments with medium level of autonomy and accountability for results (may work under the direction of a more seasoned process engineer)
Demonstrates initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others
Effective working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Demonstrated basic understanding of mechanical concepts involving machine designs, process requirements involved in the manufacturing process
Preferred
Thorough understanding of Precision Sand/Semi-Permanent Mold aluminum casting process
Understanding of Process Control Plans and Process Failure Modes Effect Analysis
Functional knowledge of Magma, Flow-3D, Arena Flow software, PT-PMC, Flexnet and GSIP
