Vice President Claims
HAUSER is seeking a Vice President of Claims to provide strategic leadership and oversight of claims services across all lines of commercial insurance. This role emphasizes claims advocacy, technical coverage expertise, and client-centered solutions to drive optimal claim outcomes while overseeing the claims team and mentoring personnel.
Responsibilities
Promote and deliver exceptional “Claims Advocacy” service by viewing claims from the client's perspective
Manage analysis, investigation, evaluation, and negotiation of complex claims across multiple lines (including D&O, E&O, EPLI, and Cyber)
Oversee high-severity losses and provide strategic guidance on key accounts
Support Senior Risk Consultants and Analysts with proactive claims strategies and communication plans
Provide insights for client presentations by assisting with loss and risk analysis
Lead claims review sessions for Risk Management clients, including preparation and participation
Serve as a liaison and advocate in complex coverage disputes
Maintain and evaluate insurance carrier performance records
Collaborate with underwriting teams to improve claim outcomes and client satisfaction
Assist in the execution of Annual Service Plans and strategic claims initiatives
Contribute to policy, contract, and handbook reviews in support of client decisions
Mentor and develop claims personnel and ensure departmental alignment with client-focused goals
Ensure consistent, strategic communication with clients and carriers
Champion client objectives through accurate claim analysis and advocacy
Ensure all client-facing materials and services meet high standards of clarity and consistency
Remain informed on industry trends and legislation affecting client risk exposure
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of property and casualty claims experience, preferably across multiple lines
Proven leadership experience
Proven track record managing complex, high-value commercial claims
Experience consulting clients
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Active Property & Casualty licensure required, or willingness to obtain within the first three months of employment
Ability to travel up to 35%
Preferred
Experience with D&O, E&O, EPLI, and Cyber claims strongly preferred
