Responsibilities
Design, administer, maintain, and optimize server, storage, backup, and data center infrastructure, including Windows Server, VMware ESXi, Cisco UCS, NetApp/EMC storage, Veeam backup solutions, and SAN/NAS systems to ensure optimal performance and availability
Design, install, and support highly virtualized and resilient environments and related systems, including Azure, O365, VMware vSphere clusters, SQL Server instances, and enterprise networking systems (Cisco switches/routers, firewalls, storage switches)
Plan, coordinate, and execute system upgrades, patches, and lifecycle replacements across servers, storage arrays, VMWare, and Cisco UCS
Collaborate with IT Systems Administrators and other IT teams to resolve issues and complete maintenance activities
Maintain accurate asset inventory, licensing, and vendor support records using tools such as FreshService and SolarWinds
Participate in and lead infrastructure projects and technology improvement initiatives
Research, evaluate, and recommend technologies that improve system reliability, security, and efficiency
Create, maintain, and update technical documentation, diagrams, and procedures
Provide escalation-level support for complex hardware, software, and system issues across the organization
Function as a trusted advisor to all departments to help select and maintain applications
Respond to scheduled on-call rotations and emergency after-hours incidents as required. Respond to emergency calls after hours
Participate in current and future educational opportunities, allowing for the continual improvement of the environment
Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma and 5 or more years of related IT systems experience are required. An Associate's degree in Information Technology can take the place of 1 year of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology can take the place of 2 years of experience
The ability to use strong organizational skills and attention to detail to accurately manage multiple job duties and projects in a demanding environment
The ability to read and interpret a wide variety of technical instructions
The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information
The ability to interact with guests and team members at all levels of the organization professionally, including the ability to speak in front of small groups
The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts, including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the office and property for the duration of the scheduled shift
The team member is frequently required to use their hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with their hands and arms
The team member must be able to operate a personal computer
The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 150 pounds occasionally, with assistance
The team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Preferred
VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
Microsoft certifications (Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365)
Experience with VMware or comparable virtualization platforms
Experience supporting backup, storage, and disaster recovery solutions
Knowledge of Cisco UCS, networking, and storage switches, wireless, and security technologies
Familiarity with monitoring, performance management, and compliance tools
Windows and Linux Server administration
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
Virtualization and storage platforms
Backup and recovery solutions
PowerShell scripting and automation
Basic familiarity with application platforms and integrations
SQL Server administration and maintenance
Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and general knowledge of Microsoft Office
Familiarity with platform monitoring, performance, and compliance management
