Responsibilities

Coordinate and follow up on preventative maintenance schedules for refrigeration units, plumbing, electrical systems, overhead doors, and other mechanical systems
Assist in and oversee basic repairs for electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as needed
Read blueprints, plan projects, and manage incidental carpentry, masonry, painting, and plaster work to ensure tasks are completed effectively and efficiently
Provide specification, design, and installation support for manufacturing and facility operations
Review and maintain detailed maintenance logs and budgets, ensuring accurate and timely documentation for all tasks
Ensure all equipment, facility systems, and utilities in assigned areas are in a proper state of operation and repair
Develop and implement safety procedures for all equipment in assigned areas
Maintain compliance with 5S, IATF16949, VDA 6.3, and ISO14001 standards, proactively identifying and addressing safety concerns to prevent accidents
Assist other maintenance team members in providing technical guidance and support during major breakdown recoveries and investigations
Assist in the RFP process and lead contractors from project inception through commissioning of new equipment
Complete other duties as assigned

Required

A four-year degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Engineering Technology is required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
At least 5 years of comprehensive experience in a technical capacity supporting an industrial manufacturing environment involving complex automated equipment
Strong understanding of facilities engineering, including root cause analysis (RCA), problem-solving techniques, and process control management for resolving quality and throughput issues
Above-average troubleshooting and computer skills, with the ability to work independently without close supervision
Proficient in data-driven decision-making, project planning, and communication
Occasional travel may be required to oversee offsite projects or support new facility developments
Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. (Training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
Understands and follows all standards of ISO12001 environmental standards. (Training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to read, write, speak, hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach and lift with hands and arms frequently throughout the day
Required to occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 35 pounds

Preferred

Experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility, especially in the automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier sectors
Experience with new model launches, equipment design, installation, and commissioning
Knowledge of new plant design, construction, and commissioning processes
Advanced proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and other PC or mainframe applications, with the ability to develop specialized, highly technical applications or solutions tailored to specific business needs
Occasional domestic and international travel required
