Geotechnical Project Engineer
Moore Twining Associates, Inc. is a multi-disciplined consulting firm specializing in various engineering services. They are currently seeking a Project Engineer in their Geotechnical Division to execute projects, manage field investigations, and collaborate with clients and consultants.

Responsibilities
Executing geotechnical engineering projects from start to finish
Ability to work independently as well as with a group
Providing direction to staff engineers to execute tasks in support of projects
Developing field exploration and laboratory testing plans for geotechnical engineering investigations
Preparing proposals for geotechnical engineering services
Coordinating/managing field investigations
Sampling and logging soils and rock during field investigations
Research, engineering analysis and preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and other technical documents
Tracking budgets and schedule to ensure project requirements are met
Review of foundation plans and grading plans for conformance with geotechnical engineering investigation reports
Collaborating with clients and various other project consultants including civil engineers, structural engineers, architects and construction managers
Understanding and using several different computer programs, soil analysis software and databases as required
Core work hours will be Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5 PM with overtime as needed
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Passed Engineer in Training (EIT) exam
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of two years of experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering
Ability to work independently as well as with a group
Providing direction to staff engineers to execute tasks in support of projects
Developing field exploration and laboratory testing plans for geotechnical engineering investigations
Preparing proposals for geotechnical engineering services
Coordinating/managing field investigations
Sampling and logging soils and rock during field investigations
Research, engineering analysis and preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and other technical documents
Tracking budgets and schedule to ensure project requirements are met
Review of foundation plans and grading plans for conformance with geotechnical engineering investigation reports

Preferred
Additional experience in Geotechnical Engineering
Professional registration as a licensed Civil Engineer in California
