Responsibilities

Lead enterprise architecture strategy, governance, and delivery of next-generation digital banking capabilities
Own the technology roadmap for Open Banking enablement across provider and consumer models, real-time data-sharing frameworks, and secure API ecosystems
Guide solution teams across mobile, web, integration, security, and cloud domains, ensuring security-first design, data privacy, and regulatory compliance, while balancing platform stability with modernization initiatives

Required

12–20+ years of experience in technology architecture, with strong exposure to banking, Open Banking, or financial services
Deep expertise in Open Banking standards including FDX, data-sharing frameworks, consent architecture, and customer identity
Strong experience designing and building API ecosystems using Java, Spring Boot, API gateways, and API management platforms
Proven ability to architect solutions on modern cloud platforms (Azure AKS, AWS EKS, or equivalent)
Experience with Apigee or similar integration modernization platforms
Broad knowledge of identity, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, compliance, and risk controls
Experience with Kafka, event-driven architecture, and real-time data processing
Proven track record of leading large-scale technology transformation programs
Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and business-case development skills
Must Have: Java (advanced), Spring Boot 3.x (reactive patterns), API design
Must Have: FDX (hands-on), Digital Banking APIs
Must Have: Ninth Wave (hands-on or strong exposure)
Must Have: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), mTLS with Okta, Ping, Azure AD, or ForgeRock
Must Have: Consent and data-sharing flows
Must Have: Data masking, logging compliance, secure coding practices
Must Have: Docker, Kubernetes, Azure AKS
Must Have: NGINX Ingress Controller, Azure API Management
Must Have: Kafka (producer/consumer, schema registry)
Must Have: AI tools for development, testing, and code reviews
Must Have: Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), functional automation testing
Must Have: SonarQube, Veracode, static analysis, secure coding practices
Must Have: Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps
Must Have: Banking / Financial Services
Must Have: Strong communication, mentoring, technical leadership
