Postdoctoral Fellow - Wood Products
Auburn University is seeking a qualified individual for a position as a postdoctoral Fellow in the field of developing new products using forest resources. The primary task of this position is to help build a wood and related composites research platform with a focus on biochar and composite manufacturing.

Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or equivalent degree in wood science, forest products, sustainable bioproducts, or a closely related field at the time employment begins
Expertise with forest products
Expertise in wood polymer composite manufacturing
At least 4 years of experience in the forest product industry
The successful applicant will demonstrate commitment to the timely completion of deliverables, commitment to the publication of results in peer-reviewed journals, and strong potential to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders on a highly visible research topic
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are required
The candidate selected for this position must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment (no sponsorship)
Preferred
Strong research background in wood product development
Familiarity with wood-related composite manufacturing and characterization
