Tooling Manager
Kreate is a family-owned plastic injection molding company headquartered in Findlay, Ohio, focused on reimagining product categories. They are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tooling Manager to oversee mold and tooling lifecycle management across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance with standards and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Oversee all new mold builds, ensuring compliance with internal tooling standards, design specifications, and quality requirements
Develop and implement robust preventative maintenance (PM) schedules for all molds within the tooling fleet
Maintain an accurate mold and tooling asset list by collaborating with on-site tooling personnel across facilities
Lead onboarding and qualification of new mold vendors for both new builds and repairs
Track and manage mold and tooling movements as production programs shift between facilities
Train and oversee on-site tooling staff to ensure proper mold care, handling, and documentation practices
Serve as the central point of contact for tooling-related issues, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
Collaboration with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to support tooling reliability and minimize downtime
Audit mold performance and condition to identify and resolve recurring issues
Ensure all tooling operations comply with safety, quality, and operational standards
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in mold/tooling engineering with experience managing multi-site tooling programs
Strong understanding of mold design, tool steel selection, injection molding processes, and PM best practices
Experience working with external tooling vendors, including quoting, build validation, and repair coordination
Skilled in asset tracking and tooling lifecycle management systems
Proven ability to lead and train cross-functional and site-level personnel
Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills
Willingness to travel to vendor and plant locations as required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling Technology, or a related field preferred
