Responsibilities
Apply mammalian cell culture and non-viral transduction techniques to conduct process development and process characterization activities to advance Beam’s ex vivo hematology pipeline
Aid in the execution of stem cell isolations and production of HSPC from primary donors
Perform cellular characterization assays to monitor process performance and product quality
Assist team in day-to-day lab activities
Maintain up-to-date and accurate data records using internal electronic lab notebook
Summarize and present studies at internal group meetings
Qualification
Required
Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Chemical, Mechanical, Bio- Engineering or other related discipline
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a degree-granting college or university program and maintain their student status throughout the duration of the co-op to be eligible
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture and work in a matrixed team environment
Preferred
Prior experience with or understanding of aseptic mammalian cell culturing desirable
Experience with statistical software and statistical data analysis desirable
