As a Wind Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the smooth operation and safety of wind turbines through routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks, while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities.

Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections of wind turbines to identify any mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues
Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on turbine components, ensuring continued operational efficiency
Replace faulty parts, perform upgrades, and ensure all components are in optimal working condition
Adhere to maintenance documentation and checklists during maintenance activities
Follow all safety procedures and protocols, ensuring proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company standards on all job sites
Report any safety concerns and participate in safety training and tailboard meetings
Stay up-to-date with the latest wind turbine technologies and industry best practices
Work closely with the Maintenance Lead and technical support to resolve complex turbine issues efficiently
Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records, including logs for LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PDRs, tailboards and maintenance checklists
Report and communicate effectively with site management and the Maintenance Lead Technician to ensure smooth operations
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in wind energy or a related field preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance, specifically on GE turbines
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience using hydraulic, battery, and hand torque tools
Familiarity with GE wind turbine technologies, maintenance procedures, and diagnostic tools
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the team and report to management
Excellent organizational skills for keeping accurate maintenance records and logs
GWO certifications (BST, BTTI, BTTH, BTTE, BTTB, ART, SART)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
Comfort working at heights (up to 300 feet) and in confined spaces
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and remote locations
Preferred
Technical degree or certification in wind energy or a related field
Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting in wind energy systems
OEM Wind Turbine certifications
