Responsibilities

Driving designated routes to collect RF signal data (LTE, 5G, CDMA) to verify network performance and coverage
Analyzing drive test data to identify coverage gaps, interference, and connectivity issues
Ensuring all network tests meet Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requirements, such as E911 testing or radio frequency emissions standards
Identifying, troubleshooting, and documenting network issues (dropped calls, low signal) and providing actionable recommendations to engineers
Operating and debugging RF test equipment and data collection software

Required

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or relevant experience
Proficiency in RF testing software (e.g., Actix, Windcatcher, TEMS, Nemo) and knowledge of 4G/5G technology
Previous experience with field testing, site integration, or network optimization
A valid driver's license is required; knowledge of FCC regulations is highly desirable
Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
