5+ years expe&e IT Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Windows and Virtualization Infrastructure Systems Administrator for a hybrid contract opportunity. This role focuses on supporting and maintaining complex Intel-based server and virtualization environments, primarily concentrating on Windows Server administration and enterprise virtualization platforms.

Responsibilities
Administer and support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, patching, and vulnerability remediation
Support Windows web services (IIS) and certificate implementation and renewal
Administer and maintain virtualization and VDI environments, ensuring stability, security, and compliance
Create and maintain standardized server images and templates aligned with STIG and security requirements
Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, incident response, and root cause analysis
Coordinate hardware, firmware, and operating system upgrades
Implement and support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support projects and continuous improvement efforts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
5–10+ years of experience supporting Windows Server and virtualization environments
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise security practices
Experience supporting virtualized infrastructure and VDI platforms
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
Strong technical communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
Experience with Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, XenServer, or Nutanix
Familiarity with Nessus, antivirus platforms, and enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Rubrik)
Experience with Azure Arc, Citrix, and Dell OpenManage
Industry-recognized system administration certification
