R&D Engineering Co-op - Summer/Fall 2026
Parker Hannifin is seeking an R&D Engineering Intern for summer through fall 2026. This role provides support in electronics, data acquisition, hydraulics, and testing, working closely with experienced engineers on innovative aerospace testing projects.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the R&D Lab team, taking direction from senior engineers on active projects
Operate fabrication equipment (e.g., tube bender, drill press, milling machine) and calibration equipment (e.g., viscometer, densometer)
Assist in upgrading hydraulic test stands, including control valves, pumps, and automation systems
Wire, calibrate, and troubleshoot mechanical, fluid, and thermal sensors for aerospace testing
Lead calibration efforts for individual lab and production test stands
Participate in a High-Performance Team environment, contributing to all functions as required
Present project plans, data, and results to the team, generating detailed reports
Support other engineers with projects and tasks as needed
Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to a zero-incident culture
Qualification
Required
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering, engineering technology, or a closely related field, with at least two years of academic coursework completed
Excellent hands-on skills, including experience with fabrication and soldering/wiring
Strong communication skills for presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, along with accurate scientific documentation abilities
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Willingness to travel occasionally to Parker facilities, local universities, and suppliers
Must be a U.S. Person, no sponsorship offered
