Senior Vice President, Scrum Leader

The Senior Vice President, Scrum Leader will establish and maintain Scrum practices, coach teams, and facilitate stakeholder collaboration to drive productivity and quality in deliverables.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain Scrum practices, facilitating understanding of Scrum theory and practice within the Scrum Team and the organization
Remove impediments to the Team’s progress and ensure all Scrum events take place, are productive, and kept within timeboxes
Coach Teams in self-management, cross-functionality, and focus on creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done
Facilitate stakeholder collaboration, support product goal definition and backlog management, and help establish empirical product planning for complex environments
Track and resolve team dependencies, support problem identification, root cause analysis, and decision-making to enable programs to meet expected outcomes
Foster innovation and continuous improvement to increase team productivity and quality of deliverables, integrating DevOps, QA, Architecture, UX, and customer-driven agile strategies
Mentor less experienced Scrum Leaders and promote high-performing teams through coaching and development techniques

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
8-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably with previous technical experience
Experience as a Scrum Master for software development teams on large initiatives and knowledge of Agile approaches including Scrum, SAFe, XP, Kanban, and Spotify
Proficiency with Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games
Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies in an engineering environment
Excellent communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive change, build consensus, and resolve conflicts across multiple parties

Preferred

Preferred Agile certifications including CSM, PSM, and SAFe SSM
