Industrial Mechatronics Maintenance Technologist

Responsibilities
Rapidly diagnose and fix top-priority equipment issues to maximize uptime, throughput, quality, and cost performance
Work across disciplines: mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and electronics
Isolate, test, and troubleshoot low/medium-voltage distribution components (fuses, switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers)
Read PLC ladder logic and electrical schematics; interpret I/O; make minor PLC program changes and debug confidently
Navigate Ethernet networks, identify/log into PLC addresses, and apply IP addressing know-how
Resolve relay logic, optimize VFD motor drive performance, and service furnace control SCR systems
Use Multimeter, Oscilloscope, and Megger with precision; leverage all common hand tools
Find and interpret manuals, drawings, and special procedures from files, vendors, web sources, and OEMs; create additional sketches/diagrams to clearly communicate findings
Strengthen reactive, preventive, and predictive maintenance strategies; champion plant-wide continuous improvement
Grow into a resident expert on melting induction furnaces, sand mold machines, and air compressors
Lead with safety and environmental responsibility every step of the way
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Associate degree in a technical discipline or 5+ years in industrial maintenance; Mechatronics certification/background preferred
Industrial, multi-craft, hands-on equipment experience
Heavy Equipment Repair; Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
Electrical Schematics; Electrical Troubleshooting
Pneumatics Experience; Hydraulics Experience
120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems
Journeyman's License; OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
Service Advisor/Writer
PLC Programming Experience; Machine Safety Inspections; Blueprint Reading
