Responsibilities

Supporting the development, analysis, and verification of sensor systems, particularly within the Aegis/Spy radar domain
Conducting requirements analysis, designing hardware components, developing signal processing algorithms, and performing system testing and evaluation
Assisting in sensor certification processes and verifying that system requirements are met through rigorous testing protocols
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and program managers, to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within scope
Contributing to modeling and simulation efforts to predict system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide technical expertise during system integration and field testing
Maintaining detailed documentation, preparing technical reports, and presenting findings to stakeholders

Required

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering
Alternatively, degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics from an accredited institution are acceptable
Relevant experience with systems such as AN/SPY-1 or AN/SPY-6 AEGIS systems is highly desirable
Candidates should have basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Effective communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and sound judgment are essential for success in this role
Physical capability to lift 10-25 pounds, stand, walk, and perform periodic bending or twisting is required
Candidates must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level
U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite for obtaining and maintaining this clearance

Preferred

Advanced degrees such as a master's or Ph.D. in the aforementioned fields are preferred and will be considered favorably
