Lakehouse Administrator

The Momba Group is seeking a GSO Lakehouse Administrator to support, configure, and govern applications within the GSO Lakehouse environment. This role involves collaborating with application teams and business stakeholders to ensure secure and efficient platform operations across Databricks and related technologies.

Staffing & Recruiting

Responsibilities

Manage identity groups and service principals Create, maintain, and govern lifecycle processes while ensuring alignment with enterprise security policies
Administer Lakehouse security across applications Manage permissions, enforce least-privilege access, and ensure compliance with governance standards
Conduct security audits Perform periodic access and configuration reviews, identify gaps, and coordinate remediation efforts
Support creation of Databricks catalogs and schemas Enable structured and scalable organization of data assets
Facilitate onboarding for new teams and users Provision SQL warehouses, compute clusters, and guide teams on platform usage and best practices
Support proof-of-value (POV) initiatives Provide environment setup, oversight, and technical assistance for exploratory efforts
Develop jobs, dashboards, and monitoring tools Provide visibility into platform health, auditing, operational metrics, and pipeline performance
Monitor and optimize compute usage and costs Track resource utilization and partner with teams to reduce unnecessary consumption
Maintain data flow diagrams Ensure documentation accurately reflects system flows, transformations, and dependencies
Communicate downstream data changes Notify impacted stakeholders of modifications to refined and presentation data layers
Review Enterprise Architecture (EA) documentation Ensure completeness and clarity prior to submission; coordinate with vendors to address gaps
Support cross-team collaboration with Platform Engineering Build relationships with other Databricks-enabled teams and contribute to solution design discussions
Document Lakehouse administration standards Develop and maintain best practices, standard operating procedures, and team guidelines
Stay current with Databricks platform updates Track new releases and preview features, assess relevance, and communicate valuable enhancements to stakeholders
