Responsibilities
Mentor junior engineers and offer technical leadership across multiple projects
Partner with clients to capture requirements, brainstorm innovative solutions, and define product roadmaps
Collaborate closely with Industrial Design, UX/UI, and Electrical Engineering teams to refine and realize product visions
Perform critical mechanical analyses (tolerance, FEA/CFD, fluidics, heat transfer, shock & vibration — experience in at least 3 areas required)
Create detailed designs, documentation, and production-ready packages
Manage vendor relationships for prototyping, tooling, and manufacturing
Test/evaluate prototypes, tooling, and first articles; generate project/technical reports
Qualification
Required
BSME required (MSME strongly preferred)
8+ years hands-on mechanical engineering design & development experience
Proven track record managing 2+ complex electromechanical products end-to-end (concept → production) — this is NON-NEGOTIABLE
Experience leading interdisciplinary teams, including external partners/suppliers
Strong client-facing and communication skills
Demonstrated success in diverse industries: robotics, life sciences/medical devices, consumer products, networking hardware, automated systems, semiconductor, etc. — variety of projects is a big plus!
Hands-on expertise designing injection-molded, sheet metal, and machined components
Proficient in SolidWorks (Creo experience a bonus); skilled at preparing engineering docs for production release
On-the-job experience in at least three of: tolerance analysis, FEA/CFD, fluidics design, heat transfer, shock & vibration
