Responsibilities
Assess new and renewal accounts to determine acceptability based on underwriting guidelines and authority granted while achieving profitability targets
Create, analyze and interpret data from various systems and underwriting resources
Responsible for monitoring production, profitability and maintaining broker relationships
Effectively communicate (written/verbal) information to both internal and external customers to ensure our standards of excellence are maintained
Develop and execute marketing plan aimed at producing new business opportunities and retaining existing business
Develop, market and maintain and enhance existing broker relationships
Qualification
Required
2+ years preferred underwriting experience in A & E, preferably for an E&S carrier
Demonstrated knowledge of A & E underwriting, risk and partner management
Strong interpersonal and team building skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain strong internal and external business relationships
Well organized with attention to detail
B.A./B.S degree from an accredited College or University
