IT Workplace Engineer

Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune
Oversee licensing, service health, and tenant wide configuration
Support architecture, permissions, governance, and collaboration models in Teams and SharePoint
Lead the engineering, administration, and optimization of Microsoft Intune, ensuring secure device management, compliance enforcement, and streamlined provisioning across the enterprise
Oversee Azure/Entra ID access management, including Conditional Access, role-based access controls, and identity governance to maintain a resilient security posture
Provide guidance and support for collaboration platforms such as Teams and SharePoint, ensuring they remain well governed and aligned with organizational standards
Leverage scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Graph API) to streamline configuration management, device provisioning, policy deployment, and troubleshooting workflows
Leverage Microsoft Intune to manage corporate devices and ensure compliance
Deploy and maintain configuration profiles, compliance baselines, and app protection policies
Support Windows Autopilot and Azure Virtual Desktop environments
Develop, maintain, and optimize Windows imaging solutions to support deployment models
Create and manage application and configuration packages for cloud-based provisioning through Microsoft Intune, ensuring reliable deployment across diverse device types
Support and enhance Windows Autopilot, Azure Virtual Desktop, and related cloud provisioning workflows to deliver consistent and efficient end user experience
Optimize and support Teams services with a focus on meeting performance, calling reliability, policy configuration, and cross tenant collaboration controls
Provide engineering level support to maintain consistent performance, governance alignment, and operational stability across enterprise collaboration experiences
Support to all Teams device ecosystems (Teams Rooms, panels, certified peripherals)
Tenant-level configuration (external access, guest access, app governance)
Work with Cybersecurity to securely configure Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Purview
Maintain compliance by enforcing device, identity, and access policies via Intune and Azure/Entra ID
Provide engineering support for remediation, validation of Conditional Access, and risk mitigation across Microsoft 365 and endpoint environments
Participate in roadmap planning, change management, and feature rollouts
Define governance for Microsoft 365 Groups, Teams, and SharePoint
Evaluate new Microsoft 365 features and emerging workplace technologies
Serve as Tier 3 escalation for complex workplace incidents and service requests
Ensure a secure, consistent, and positive user experience across collaboration tools and devices
Monitor service health and performance across Intune, Teams, and Azure/Entra ID
Use telemetry, analytics, and admin center insights to identify trends, prevent service degradations, and recommend targeted improvements
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune)
Experience supporting enterprise‑scale collaboration environments
Expertise in endpoint management using Intune, Autopilot, device compliance, and configuration profiles
Knowledge of Teams governance, SharePoint architecture, and collaboration frameworks
Solid understanding of Microsoft Defender security stack and M365 compliance capabilities
Solid understanding of Active Directory in hybrid and Azure-only environments
Exposure to scripting and automation with PowerShell and Graph API
Ability to manage complex technical issues and act as Tier‑3 escalation
Preferred
Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop
Exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
Experience with telephony SBC's and PBX's
Relevant certifications (Microsoft 365 Administrator, Azure Fundamentals, ITIL, CompTIA)
