Responsibilities
Overseeing all Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations
Ensuring merchandise is accurately received, accounted for, and stocked
Walk the store daily to scan DSD items
Identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions
Partner closely with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk
Communicate regularly with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution
Monitor donations
Manage grocery and non-perishable inventories
Maintain a secure, clean, and organized backroom environment
Qualification
Required
Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory, especially in a retail or grocery environment
Basic computer skills including email, Excel, and familiarity with store portals or inventory systems
Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit accurately
Strong ability to maintain cleanliness, security, and order in the backroom and receiving areas
Capable of making decisions independently and resolving issues related to inventory and deliveries
Effective interaction with vendors, delivery drivers, store management, and fellow associates
Ability to lift/carry 5–50 lbs., push/pull 10–50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods
