Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will support revenue integrity and cash flow predictability by analyzing healthcare billing and claims data, focusing on reimbursement trends and payer performance.

Responsibilities

Analyze high-volume claims, payments, denials, adjustments, and accounts receivable data to assess revenue performance and cash flow trends
Support revenue forecasting, contractual allowance modeling, and collectability assessments in partnership with Finance and Revenue Cycle teams
Evaluate payer reimbursement methodologies, authorization-driven billing outcomes, and timing of cash collections
Identify revenue leakage, denial root causes, underpayments, and operational or compliance risk impacting financial performance
Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and dashboards to support decision-making and revenue integrity initiatives
Partner with billing, authorization, and operations teams to investigate variances and recommend process improvements
Deliver clear, executive-ready financial and operational analysis to Finance and Revenue Cycle leadership
Support ad hoc financial analyses, audits, and payer-related inquiries as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, reimbursement, or financial analytics
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas
Strong working knowledge of claims adjudication processes, payer reimbursement methodologies, and payer behavior
Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy and accountability in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, high-impact analysis that directly informs financial reporting and decision-making
Proven success as a highly analytical individual contributor supporting senior finance and revenue cycle stakeholders
Must maintain clean background and drug screenings

Preferred

Experience with ABA or behavioral health billing strongly preferred
Out-of-network billing experience preferred
